Her carvings, often depicting small-scale family scenes, express a profound sense of care and connection. The smooth, rounded forms of her figures evoke warmth and intimacy, as though the stone itself has been softened by her touch. Yet this tenderness is a balance of the ruggedness of the material and the regional aesthetic. There’s something inherently poetic about this contrast. The figures, carved from dense and unyielding stone, carry an emotional weight that seems to defy the hardness of the medium.
