The figures, clad in traditional Inuit clothing, engage in a dynamic, almost theatrical display, as they wear distinctly modern sunglasses rather than customary snow goggles. This small but deliberate detail speaks to Pudlo’s fascination with the contemporary world, an interest that set him apart from many of his peers during his career. Equally characteristic is the treatment of the landscape. The rolling, undulating hills are rendered in his signature simplified style, minimal yet expressive, suggesting movement without overwhelming detail.
