Through patience and skill, the weaver could create not only a safe and secure vessel, but a canvas for further decoration. The addition of sewn on knobs is an easy way to add some charming character to the functionality of the basket's lid. Here we are treated to a simple carved stone whose minimal details match the minimal repetition of the woven grass.
