Some went on to great fame and others, for whatever reason, decided against artistic pursuits. Sheelaky seems to fall into the latter category as only two of her images were produced as prints.
We love how this graphite drawing captures the spirituality of the era. Although her work was not included in the exhibition or book, Sheelaky’s work is directly comparable to the spectacular drawings of the period featured in the McMichael's Strange Scenes: Early Cape Dorset Drawings.Provenance
Collection of John and Joyce Price, Seattle.
