According to the tale, the world was once in darkness. A greedy chief had hidden the sun inside a box, keeping its light to himself. Raven, ever cunning and transformative, devised a plan. Disguising himself, he infiltrated the chief’s house, eventually finding and releasing the sun—bringing light to the world.
Here, the dense formline choreography mirrors the well-known story's urgency. Limbs twist, faces appear, and the radiating red bands burst outward like sunbeams finally freed. The print captures not just a moment of transformation, but the overwhelming frenzy of that release. This is not calm illumination; it is eruption, a world thrown suddenly into motion and light.
