Its form, a wide-brimmed, conical shape, balances function with aesthetic precision. The alternating over-under plaited weave allows for flexibility while maintaining rigidity, enabling the hat to hold its form without internal supports. Each row is evenly tensioned, creating a surface that appears almost architectural in its logic. The flare of the brim is intentional, designed to deflect rain, but it also gives the work a visual rhythm, grounding it in a tradition where engineering and beauty are inseparable.
