Here in Totemic Composition with Inuit and Owls on Seal Base, the various figures are densely packed amongst each other, limbs melding into some as they are stacked upon others. This by nature could seem cluttered and chaotic, but there is a serenity here, the more amorphous shapes and edges allowing the work to blend together as a whole. Tiny holes are painted with black spots to have eyes and nose punctuate throughout the work, bringing some set form back to the curves.Provenance
