A few were illustrated...In the 1970s and 1980s the Innuit Gallery held period sales of prehistoric and Historic era artifacts of many types, from Arctic Canada, Alaska, and Greenland. A few were illustrated in the accompanying catalogues but the great majority were not. This small group of artifacts was likely purchased by John Bell from these sales over the years. These pieces are likely: an ivory needle case with abstract decoration; a bone dogsled harness toggle; an ivory amulet or charm in the form of a serving platter (Alaska?); and an ivory fish lure or amulet.
