This muskox, head lowered in the act of grazing, is one of his most often returned-to subjects. It stands broad and solid, a gentle giant whose weight feels undeniable but never disruptive. The body is rendered in bold, blocky form, holding its place with confidence against the more delicate pattern of stenciled grasses and tundra plants. Its hooves seem to hover rather than crush, as if the muskox knows it belongs but chooses to tread lightly.
