Broad curves and feathered contours ripple across the surface, arranged in a composition that feels both deliberate and celebratory. The print carries the emotional charge of early morning light, with golden and coral tones blooming outward as if catching their breath. Created through the intricate processes of sugar lift, etching, and aquatint, and hand-painted by Beatriz Sobrado Samano, each impression has its own subtle variation. Kenojuak Ashevak’s imagery holds centre with characteristic poise, brought to life in collaboration with master printer Paul Machnik. The edition of just 25 makes each work not only rare, but richly singular.
