Both heads are inked in deep blue-black, yet their bodies diverge in treatment: the left is overlaid with earthy green and grounded by dark pigment at the lower third, while the right combines the earthy green with an opalescent blue at the neck. At the centre of each torso rests a mandorla shape, on the left filled with frenetic lines and encircled by an undulating band, and on the right rendered in opaque solidity. Their plumage is also distinct: one marked by feathers flaring from wings and legs, the other articulated through a dense rhythm of small āvā shapes.
