Two grizzly bears, two dogs, and several gulls are stitched in felt and thread, their forms set against bands of tan and turquoise. One bear clasps a fish in its mouth, while the surrounding animals turn toward it, their gazes and postures suggesting a shared hunger and the chance to snatch the prize. Embroidered details lend texture to fur, feathers, and fins, while the patterned border frames the scene, transforming a domestic-sized object into a vivid tableau of competition and survival.Provenance
