Whereas Pitseolak focused primarily on scenes from camp life, Lucy, like Kenojuak, had a penchant for birds. Lucy’s birds are often quite whimsically rendered and characterized by bold, rhythmic forms that are balanced by delicate colour. Young Raven, like many of Lucy’s best works, is equal parts observation and imagination. Delightful.Provenance
