    While Inukjuak is rightly known for the magnificent sculptures depicting hunters or mothers with children produced during the 1950s and 1960s, not enough credit is given to the equally wonderful depictions of Arctic fauna. These range from wildly energetic river otters to wonderfully languid walruses. This delightfully laid-back walrus, carved from early Inukjuak stone, is the epitome of calm.
