Ada Eyetoaq’s carving balances tenderness with rugged solidity, a mix that suits her sensibility and echoes Qamani’tuaq traditions. In her small works, intimacy comes through scale and touch as blunt edges meet warm, handled surfaces. Here a small figure kneels, back lifted and alert, so the pose reads as awake, present, and gently resolved. Light catches her upturned face, as though the morning sun is ringing her face.
