The...This work reflects the Qamani’tuaq (Baker Lake) taste of the mid 1960s, in which the muskox is conceived as a compact mass and the forms are kept deliberately abbreviated. The bulk is carried in the barrel of the body and the set of the shoulders. Short, firm legs take the weight cleanly, and the animal settles into the ground with a deliberate, clear stability.
