The bird’s body, rendered in deep teal, rises vertically like the intonation of a question, a single form held upright against the field around it. From that centre, the limbs extend in rigid, angular lines that read as both balance and hesitation. Red accents along the wings and feet punctuate the teal with small jolts of urgency, as if the work is marking potential points of contact before committing to them. Hesitant Bird is like a study in suspension: a bird poised in geometry that doesn’t yet know whether to land or flee.
