A name that springs to mind during the relaunch of the collection in the 1990s is Jacoposie TIglik, well known for his highly expressive style in carving and prints, often capturing a moment in time. Bringing Water is a charming early example of his stencil work from the earlier days of the collection, as a mother and her children are snapped mid-stride. The older child's bigger step to keep up coupled with the younger child's free hand matching the splayed fingers of their mother's add to the simple delight that is this scene.
