The time spent on the first didn't leave much for the second, but Pitseolak's three dimensional output speaks volumes of his skills and artistic eye. Dancing Polar Bear is reminiscent of some of Pitseolak's more columnic, standing works, as he stands on one foot, stretching up towards the sky. The details are minimal, but intentional, as the barest hints of facial features and appendages peak out on the stone. The movement of this bear is elegant in its simplicity, while the bright green stone of its body is captivating to the eye.Provenance
Collection of John and Joyce Price, Seattle.
