A singular figure is caught in motion as the thrown stone leaves a trail of splashes in the water. A deeper look shows choices that give depth to the scene and its presentation; layers upon layers of stitches make up the water’s surface, creating a field of little ripples in multiple colours, while butterflies float at the corners of the duffel, framing the scene as if it were a moment spied upon through them. There is a peace that emanates from the work, as a still moment by the water is rarely unwelcomed.
