While everything about the sculpture points to...This imposing bird undoubtedly hails from Cape Dorset and is carved from the gorgeous dark green serpentine quarried there in the late 1960s. While everything about the sculpture points to Cape Dorset, there are few visual clues to the identity of its maker. The community was so full of talent in the 1960s that this unsigned opus could as easily be the work of a master as of someone who carved only briefly.
