    The walrus has long occupied an important place in Inuit sculpture, valued both for its imposing physical presence and its significance within Arctic life. This compact carving emphasizes rounded volume and simplified form, lending the animal a quiet dignity while retaining a subtle sense of humour. The broad surfaces and restrained modelling encourage an appreciation of the stone itself as an essential element of the composition. Lovely.
