These Madonna-like figures represent some of the finest sculptures to hail from Nunavik during a seminal decade. Epoo’s sculpture is dominated by the expressionistic, almost mask-like face of the mother; it’s a remarkable visage that seems to speak of suffering, stoicism, and strength.
