At the top...Created at the behest of Jack Butler, in this work Myra Kukiiyaut presents us with several scenes that are seemingly visual for her own stream of consciousness. At the top of the work, Kukiiyaut writes, "I love going fishing in the spring. The food is useful." Below this, between the birds and the faces, we read, "They are both difficult [to do]." In the triangular shape above the figure at the centre right, presumably a self portrait, the artist shares, "I don't know what else to write about." At the lower right, she signs off "Kukiyaut Myra."
First Arts extends our gratitude to Veronica Puskas for her assistance in cataloguing this lot.
