Like his contemporary Romeo Eekerkik, Anowtalik liked to explore the possibilities offered by the softer material. Anowtalik liked to construct his sculptures out of numerous smaller parts and his creations ranged from simple but charming antler dolls to dynamic arrangements of multiple acrobatic figures suspended atop elongated antler landscape bases.
