Although the pole was originally attributed to Dick Price (c. 1877-1936), there are several features, particularly in the paint application and the construction of its eyes, that make this attribution unlikely. Depicted on the pole are Eagle, descending Whale, Bear, and Human. The pole is painted in customary Kwakwa̱ka̱ʼwakw colours of green, red, yellow, black, and brown, with a white undercoat. Some features that may help identify this maker in the future are its fully round, more gracile figures (when compared to other Kwakwa̱ka̱ʼwakw poles from this era) and the manner in which the irises of the concentric and internally tangent eyes of the figures are left unpainted.
