This irresistibly endearing composition catches two children in the midst of snowy play. The leading figure, a young girl with a babe tucked into her amautiq, twists back over her shoulder to check on the boy trailing behind on a little sled, tethered to her by a tump line. Their closeness in scale makes them feel less like caretaker and charge than like near-peers, bound by affection as much as by the line between them.

The group is beautifully built from Johnny Inukpuk's later plump, compact forms while the taut pull of the line and the swelling contours of the stone lend the whole scene a buoyant, affectionate energy.
