The bird’s body is rendered with crisp, fine detail, especially in the head and breast, while the great fan of the tail rises behind it in sweeping, simplified forms that feel almost vegetal. Translated into print by Pee Mikigak, the colour deepens that sense of organic vitality: soft olive, mossy green, and ochre-gold sit against the warmth of the sheet. The bird itself seems alert and light on its feet, yet the extravagant tail carries the image beyond description, turning it into something imaginative and alive.
