Introduced to the technique by his father, Roger's penchant for built and sculpted ceramic work rather than thrown shows itself throughout his works, including the present example. What likely started as a coiled vase became a field for grazing caribou, their bodies phasing in and out of the bronze. Roger's careful attention to detail has given the work textured fur and pointed antler tips, all proudly standing out from the patinated bronze.
