Sparse geometric accents in dark-dyed grass punctuate the warm natural fibres without overwhelming them, allowing the regular pattern of the tightly coiled rows to become the defining visual feature. Both sculptural and functional, the basket reflects the technical excellence and understated elegance that characterize the finest examples of contemporary Inuit basketry.Provenance
